OVERALL I AM A VERY PROUD COACH AND I DO KNOW I HAVE SOME DISAPPOINTED PLAYERS…I WISH WE COULD HAVE PLACED AT LEAST A COUPLE PLAYERS IN THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS NEXT WEEK AT COLLEGE PARK. NEXT YEAR!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BOYS TEAM FOR HAVING AN UNDEFEATED SEASON AND GETTING A BANNER!! HAVE A GREAT SUMMER AND COME BY THE COURTS AND SEE ME AT SUMMER CAMPS!! I LOVE YOU ALL!

congratulations to all the boys on hawks tennis team- A no loss season is tough to accomplish-way to go!! girls had some tough injuries towards the end of the season and we didn’t have our full lineup in the end…no excuses though. not a bad season overall at all…i enjoyed coaching you all so much…keep playing and enjoying the game-that is the most important thing to me…

last week we had counties and overall we did well as a team: alec, caitlin, nick and byron, sashant and kiera are all advancing to the regionals later on this week!! congratulations!! today and tomorrow we have more matches to be played to finish the county tournament. semis and finals, and 3rd and 4th are all played at wilde lake this afternoon…it will be chilly but hopefully we will get it all done. regionals in baltimore at druid hill park on thursday and then friday back to wilde lake tennis club for the completion of regionals…the week after state championships at college park!! LETS KEEP ON KEEPIN ON GUYS!!

5/3 boys tennis defeats mt. hebron 5-0! all played very well today…girls unfortunately were missing two top players-hannah in one doubles and lynette in two singles….therefore, we ended up losing the match barely 3-2. it was disappointing loss but understandable. we will get it together for counties…good luck to all!! BE CONFIDENT…CONFIDENCE IS KEY!! SENIOR DAY TOMORROW MAY 6TH!! ALSO…WALDO AND COACH BIRTHDAY’S TOO!! A LOT TO CELEBRATE-I WILL MISS MY SENIORS. WE PLAY WILDE LAKE FOR OUR LAST HOME GAME OF SEASON…GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND ESPECIALLY TO OUR SENIOR PLAYERS: KIERA, ERIC, DAVID, LIZ AND CALEB!!

5/1 river hill defeats oakland mills 5-0 on both sides! a special kudos to shasta for defeating a good player 8-6!! i was very proud of you shasta-you hung in there and kept your cool and really took what i had to say and used it…thank you and way to go!! today hammond at home 3 pm….LETS KEEP ON KEEPIN ON GUYS!!!

river hill defeats reservoir 4-1 boys, 5-0 girls…sashant and kiera won another close one-way to go…alec lost to beeks but the score definitely wasn’t indicative of the match-great fight. beeks is just too tough right now…waldo did an outstandingly easy job defeating his opponent in singles. nice.

kiera was a WARRIOR today and knowing her partner sashant was hurting with a quad pull…upped her game and was a mad woman!! she held the team up and served like a demon for the victory=way to go birthday girl!!
both pal and nathalie played singles today and came out victorious-awesome job you guys! you represented!!
rita and hannah-way to go at the net! i was so happy and proud to see you guys attacking and coming in together and working SO MUCH BETTER AS A TEAM!! that’s the way to do it girls…YAHOOOOOOOOO!!

CENTENNIAL AT HOME!-ALEC ANGRADI BEAT A GREAT PLAYER AT NUMBER 2 SINGLES TO CLINCH THE BOYS…AFTER DAVID AND NICK WON ANOTHER EXCITING MATCH TO WATCH FOR THE CHANCE TO WIN{ BARRING ALEC’S VICTORY IN SINGLES}….AND CAITLIN BEAT A VERY FRUSTRATINGLY PERSISTENT PLAYER TO CLINCH THE GIRLS…ALEC-THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST MATCHES I HAVE SEEN YOU PLAY SO FAR THIS YEAR. KEEP IT UP YOUNG MAN!! AND CAITLIN, YOUR PATIENCE WAS IMPRESSIVE…I’M PROUD OF YOU GIRL!!

I WAS ALSO VERY HAPPY TO SEE SASHANT AND KIERA TURN THINGS AROUND AND WIN DECIDEDLY TODAY MUCH TO THE CHAGRIN OF SASHANT’S QUADRICEP CRAMPING…NEHA AND CHELSEA CAME BACK TO WIN ANOTHER CLOSE ONE IN A TIEBREAKER TO GIVE US A CHANCE TO WIN THE MATCH LEAVING IT DOWN TO CAITLIN TO SEAL THE DEAL…WE COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU GUYS…AND OF COURSE EVERY MATCH COUNTS THE SAME-SO KUDOS TO BIRTHDAY GIRL SARAH AND PARTNER WALDO FOR ALSO COMING AWAY TODAY WITH A VICTORY!!
